Prior authorization
Every request, every deadline, one place to chase it.
AuthChase tracks every prior authorization and UTN across WISeR, Medicare Advantage, and commercial payers, flags missed deadlines, and generates appeals.
What staff stop doing by hand
- Copying portal reference numbers across six WISeR vendors and a stack of plan portals.
- Noticing on day 10 that a Medicare Advantage request was due on day 7.
- Rebuilding an appeal letter from a spreadsheet the night before the service.
One ledger
WISeR stays first-class: state, vendor, and the Unique Tracking Number Medicare needs on the claim. Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care, and commercial plans sit on the same queue with their own authorization numbers.
Missed deadlines
WISeR is 72 hours standard and 48 hours expedited. CMS-0057-F gives Medicare Advantage and Medicaid managed care 7 calendar days and 72 hours. Commercial clocks follow the plan. A service date with no identifier is flagged before the claim goes out unpaid.
Appeals
A non-affirmation or denial downloads a draft packet: timeline, document checklist, and a letter for that program. WISeR reconsideration, MA plan reconsideration or the Independent Review Entity, commercial internal appeal and a state insurance complaint.
The clock depends on the program
AuthChase stores the deadline on the payer. These are the defaults. A custom program can carry a contract deadline that is not a statute.
